The Future of AI

Hermant Taneja holds five different degrees from MIT. I have never read anything from a guy with five degrees before. I presume he knows what he is talking about.

He makes a unique point about how AI will benefit our healthcare system, education, finance, employment, and (more generally) life. He is optimistic about AI and the things that it will bring. I conditionally agree with his view, and this book helped me imagine how our future will look like, not the future that is centuries away but a few decades away.

The future of education and human interaction that he envisions are very close to what is shown in the movie “Ready Player One.” I've seen the movie, and I think future interaction among humans will be contained inside of the realm of virtual reality. Think about everything that we could be able to do in the virtual world. If the OASIS— name of the virtual reality system in the movie— comes true, anyone will be able to go anywhere they ever desired such as outer space, Hogwarts, Jurrasic park, etc. The possibility of what we can do with the next generation virtual reality opens the door to anything we can imagine. Maybe the technology we invented will change the way we interact and learn entirely.
